Tokyo Design Studio New Balance is a new brand that was birthed from the longstanding connection between New Balance, based in Boston, USA, and Japan. It is a collaborative effort involving a team consisting of members from both the United States and Japan. Through the mastery of Japanese artisans New Balance seeks to pursue authenticity and quality, while also driving innovation in design. The project aims to showcase the ingenuity and craftsmanship that are characteristic of Japan, and to push the boundaries of design and innovation.
Tokyo Design Studio New Balance and Snow Peak have announced the release of their 3rd collaboration, featuring a new capsule collection of footwear and apparel. This collaboration combines Snow Peak's high-performance products, rigorously tested in the most demanding natural environments, with New Balance's functionality and quality cultivated over its 117-year history. With the aim of creating unique and unparalleled products, this project unveils the world's first 2-way ultimate snow boots called "TDS Niobium Concept 3(N_C3)". The graphic on the apparel includes an excerpt from Japanese poet and fairytale writer Kenji Miyazawa's poem ``Ame Nimo Makezu'', arranged to stoically express the majesty of nature and the introspective side of humanity.
