SP × PENDLETON Double Size Muchacho Blanket Navy
Pendleton Woollen Mills is an American textile manufacturing company based in Portland, Oregon. For over 150 years, Pendleton has been family-owned and operated, weaving world-class wool products in its Pacific Northwest mills. Each blanket is meticulously crafted using old-world techniques, blending intricate Native American-inspired patterns with “Made in the USA” quality. Snow Peak has been working with Pendleton since the AW2018 season and these towel blankets are the result of our sixth collaboration.
This Double Size Muchacho Blanket is twice as big as our popular Muchacho blanket and is finished in a wool and cotton blend for added softness in the winter months. The pattern incorporates the Snow Peak logo and a design based on the Mountain Majesty, a Navajo pattern that was woven in the Southwest between 1920 and 1940. The stair like pattern represents four sacred mountains for the Navajo and the butterfly style pattern is a design to inspire life and hope, the Navajo believed the butterflies delivered wishes to the great gods.
